FERN JOHNSON

Executive Leadership Professional

Fern Johnson has 15 years of accounting and financial management experience.  She has served in the capacity of an Executive Finance person for companies ranging from $250 Million to $5 Million in revenue.  Fern is passionately committed to helping businesses grow and achieve top results. She led companies through many “first times” beginning with financial audits, a transition from cash to accrual, implementation of departmental budgets, establishments of month-end close processes.  

Fern is an expert in the real estate sector, both residential and commercial. She oversaw the accounting processes for the W Hotel in Downtown Atlanta with a $168 Million Dollar budget.  She has also worked with non-profits both externally and internally helping with restructuring, board development, and the development internal controls, including assisting non-profits with significant annual expense reduction and improved cash flow. 
  
Fern’s most recent endeavor included working in the healthcare sector overseeing the accounting and billing functions of one of the largest private oncology practices in the Southeast. She led the company in increasing it’s out of network coverage from 14 third-party plans to 125 in a period of 24 months.  She has also spearheaded several mulit-million dollar due diligence processes working closely with investment bankers to develop portfolios to help take the market for potential sales.

Fern brings with her a wealth of knowledge understanding how organizations work because she has been their done that working her way up to the top. She has served on many boards serving in the capacity of the treasurer to co-chair and on the Board of Directors for well-known non-profit organizations where she has helped to formalize processes. She is a servant leader and well rounded. 

Fern has an MBA in Accounting from DeVry University, Keller Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Business Management from Eckerd College. She is a 2013 graduate of Dale Carnegie Institute where she received the 2013 Highest Achievement Award.
